Hi! I’m Jason Conradt and BlueJ Animation is my animation, visual effects, and motion graphics studio. I create engaging animation for documentaries on Netflix, HBO, PBS, American Experience, American Masters, Independent Lens, ESPN, Discovery, NBC, and USA.
My work includes opening titles, re-creations, motion graphics, archival photo/headlines/maps, explainers, and more. I love to immerse myself into each project I work on and learn everything I can to help tell the story in a more compelling and intelligible way.
I'm highly collaborative and enjoy solving problems to effectively communicate the filmmaker’s intentions. I strive to be sensitive to the tone of each film I work on and craft animation that elevates the narrative.
Recent films include:
Zora Neale Hurston: Claiming a Space • Love to Love You: Donna Summer • Battleground • To Which We Belong • The Fire That Took Her • Bully, Coward, Victim: The Story of Roy Cohn • The Innocence Files • Words from a Bear • Tigerland • Cracked Up • Best Shot • Voyeur • Take My Nose Please • Beyond Borders • Trapped • Above and Beyond • Nothing Left Unsaid: Gloria Vanderbilt • Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies.
